Due to its advantageous location during the American War, Cu Chi served as an essential base. Today, we explore the Cu Chi Tunnels. A 200km long network of tunnels connecting command centres, clinics, shelters, and weapon manufacturers was constructed by the Vietcong. Using only hand tools and no cement, this incredible network was unearthed from hard laterite.
After that, we go on a tour of Ho Chi Minh City, stopping at the War Crime Museum, which has an extensive collection of artefacts from Vietnam's wars with the French and Americans. We also see the Reunification Palace, which served as the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until the end of April 1975, Dame Cathedral, the Old Sai Gon Post Office, the former US Embassy, Cho Lon, which includes the Thien Hau Pagoda, and other sites. The 400,000 Chinese residents who live in the area are surrounded by stunning pagodas and temples.
